Breast Enlargement (Augmentation)
Breast Augmentation is a cosmetic procedure which alters the size or shape of the breast. It enhances a woman's body contour and is often used to correct an imbalance in breast size. Augmentation can adjust a sag in the breast and increases firmness.
The procedure often improves ones appearance and may have a positive effect on self-esteem. With modern advances in plastic surgery, breast size, like any other enhancement, is a matter of personal choice. Breast augmentation is one of the most popular plastic surgery procedures available today. The surgery is safe, predictable, and can produce significant changes in a woman's appearance almost instantaneously.
Dr Merten and Dr Rome perform breast augmentation surgery in a fully accredited hospital, with the assistance of a consultant anesthetist. Generally an overnight hospital stay is required although you may choose day surgery. Recovery depends on the individual patient and you would be advised in detail prior to the procedure.

- Breast Implant Register
The Breast Implant Register is a government endorsed initiative managed by the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons. It
is a simple safeguard that keeps your implant device details safe, private, and only accessible by you. In the unlikely event of future complications, you know where your data is archived.
The initiative is volantary and a $25 per implant fee is payable to the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons. We recommend this initiative to breast augmentation patients and registration forms are available in our rooms.
